Steel flat bar from materials4me is a flat profile available in a range of widths and thicknesses. The material can be supplied cut to your specific required length.
Steel flat bar in grade S235JR is readily formable, easy to process and ideal for welding. The steel is also known as material number 1.0038 and is the most commonly used structural steel in the metalworking sector. Steel flat bar supplied to thyssenkrupp quality is suitable for a wide range of applications:
- Base and anchor plates
- Edge trim
- Rails or brackets
- Railing rods
- Generally suitable for engineering and steel fabrications
Grade S235 is not intended for heat treatment as exact strengths have already been defined. Without surface protection S235 is not corrosion resistant. This steel can be protected against corrosion by coating processes such as hot-dip galvanizing or organic coating.
